A Sound Way provides comprehensive teacher information along with fun, practical activities for students to help strengthen their phonological awareness.

Commencing with simple sound-awareness activities, the book progresses to activities designed to develop students’ understanding of the way letters are mapped onto these sounds. Students are then shown how to apply knowledge of sounds to reading and spelling.

A Sound Way is suitable for lower primary teachers or teachers of children with learning difficulties, for whole-class, small-group and individual instruction.

Interactive Whiteboard CD

The Interactive Whiteboard CD ontains over 100 additional entertaining and stimulating interactive activities specially designed for use on smartboards, to reinforce the carefully sequenced book activities (this CD is not a softcopy of the book). The audio and visual tools on the CD will play a vital role in helping students consolidate their phonological awareness skills. The CD comes with a five-user faculty licence. This means that it can be used on five machines via a school network, or the CD can be copied four more times for use on stand-alone machines.
