Following our popular introductory webinar on the Adult Resilience Scale, presented by the author Denis Flores, we are hosting another webinar event to discuss using the Adult Resilience Scale in organisations.
Based on the government sector and emergency services, the Adult Resilience Scale utilised a large international database for its development, which resulted in a 75-item scale and 5 dimensions of resilience:
The Adult Resilience Scale provides a framework for developing resilience skills and capabilities in organisations. In this webinar author Denis will discuss the development of the Adult Resilience Scale and its application across several business sectors including transport and emergency services.
Denis Flores has a long and distinguished history in in the field of psychology in Australia and Malta, with active involvement in research, practice and presenting as a keynote speaker at numerous conferences. In 1993, after 20 years as a military psychologist and subsequent work for two of the big six consulting firms, Denis Flores founded his own firm, Career Focus Pty Ltd, offering services in psychological assessment, organisation development, executive coaching and career transition.
Denis was elected Fellow, Australian Psychological Society in 2005, was Chair of the College of Organisational Psychologists from 2003 to 2006 and became the founding Managing Editor of the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Organisational Psychology in 2007. Denis was also appointed as Adjunct Clinical Associate in the Centre for Neuropsychology at Swinburne University of Technology, 2003–2006, and Honorary Fellow, Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences, Deakin University, 2005–2010.
Following the sale of Career Focus in 2013, Denis returned to Europe in 2015 to resume teaching Organisational Psychology at the University of Malta. In 2020 he was appointed to the Council of the Malta Chamber of Psychologists, and since then Denis has continued to focus his ongoing research on resilience.
