The Clinical Assessment of Depression (CAD) is a 50-item self-report instrument that is sensitive to depressive symptomatology throughout the life span (from 8-79 years). It is closely aligned with the hallmarks of depression in children, adolescents, and adults as well as the additional seven criteria for major depressive episodes listed in the DSM-IV-TR™.
The CAD Rating Form is completed by the respondent. It is hand-scored by the examiner using the Score Summary/Profile Forms.
Alternatively, a completed Rating Form can be scored online by entering the responses into PARiConnect.
