The Cognitive Assessment of Young Children (CAYC) is an easy-to-administer screening and assessment tool used to identify children with developmental delays, from 2 months to 5 years 11 months.
The CAYC consists of 107 structured, play-based items in six age-related levels. Each level consists of developmental and mega-cognitive tasks. Items increase sequentially in difficulty, and the child being tested must have sufficient hearing, vision, and movement skills in order to understand and respond to test items.
The CAYC Object Kit includes all the stimuli materials (20+) required to administer the assessment. The CAYC Manual outlines which items require specific objects.
The Object Kit is also available in the CAYC Complete Kit.
