The Culture Free Self-Esteem Inventories 3rd ed. (CFSEI-3) is a set of self-report inventories used to determine the level of self-esteem in students ages 6 through 18 years 11 months.
It includes three age-appropriate forms: Primary, Intermediate, and Adolescent. All three forms provide a Global Self-Esteem Quotient (GSEQ).
The Intermediate and Adolescent Forms provide self-esteem scores in 4 areas (Academic, General, Parental/Home, and Social), whilst the Adolescent Form provides an additional self-esteem score (Personal Self-Esteem). A defensive measure is also provided to assess the extent to which an examinee's responses are guarded.
The CFSEI-3 Primary/Examiner Record Form is designed for use with children from 6-8 years of age. It contains 29 items that measure aspects of Academic, General, Parental/Home and Social content areas.
Unlike the Adolescent and Intermediate Forms, this form does not have subscales - its items are summed to create a GSEQ.
