The Conners Early Childhood (Conners EC) assesses behaviour for preschool-aged children 2 to 6. It is designed to assess the concerns of parents and teachers/childcare providers about preschool-aged children.
The Conners EC aids in the early identification of behavioural, social, and emotional problems, and also assists in measuring whether or not the child is appropriately meeting major developmental milestones (Adaptive Skills, Communication, Motor Skills, Play, and Pre-Academic/Cognitive).
Available as a standalone form, the Conners EC Global Index (Conners EC GI) contains the two 10-item indices from the Conners EC Parent and Teacher form.
The Conners EC GI is the only Conners EC material available in the QuickScore format (alternatively the materials can be administered and scored online via MHS Online Assessment Center).
The Conners EC GI-Parents and the Conners EC GI-Teacher are quick and effective measures of general psychopathology and helpful tools for monitoring treatment and preschool intervention. The Conners EC GI-P and the Conners EC GI-T are embedded in the full-length Conners Early Childhood forms or can be purchased separately.
Both of these indices include the 10 highest loading items from the original Conners Parent and Teacher Rating Scales (Conners 1997) with updated normative data.
The Conners EC Global Index Teacher Quickscore Form includes 10 items, and is completed by a teacher or childcare provider.
The teacher writes on the external layers of the form, and the results then transfer through to the hidden scoring grid within. The examiner uses these internal layers to calculate the results. All QuickScore Forms include norms conversion tables (to convert the raw scores).
