The Conners 3 uses observer ratings and self-report ratings to help assess attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and evaluate problem behaviour in children and adolescents.
Each parent, teacher, and self-report form is available in full-length and short versions, and all are available in the QuickScore format.
Two indicies are contained within the Conners 3 full-length forms:
A brief 10-item ADHD index. Suitable for screening a large group of children and adolescents to see if further assessment of ADHD is warranted. Additionally, this form can be used to monitor the effectiveness of treatment plans and measure the child’s response to intervention.
A quick measure of general psychopathology. It offers individual subscale scores (ie, Restless-Impulsive and Emotional Lability) that are not provided on the full-length Conners 3 forms. It is especially useful for monitoring treatment and intervention.
The Conners instruments are used for routine screenings in schools, mental health clinics, residential treatment centres, paediatric offices, juvenile detention facilities, child protective agencies, and outpatient settings. The Conners 3 can:

Paper-and-Pencil Administration and Scoring
All Conners 3 forms (long and short) can be administered and scored using the MHS QuikScore format. The rater writes on the external layers of the form, and the results transfer through to a hidden scoring grid within the internal layers. The assessor then uses the internal layers for tabulating results. Each QuikScore form includes conversion tables, which are used to convert raw scores to T-scores.
Software Scoring
All Conners 3 forms can be scored using the scoring software by entering responses from a completed paper-and-pencil administration (response form) into the software program for immediate scoring and report generation. Assessment Reports, Progress Reports, and Comparative Reports are available.
Online Administration and Scoring
The Conners 3 can be completed and automatically scored online. Online administration allows the assessor the flexibility to send a link to each respondent to complete the assessment at a location (e.g., child care center, school). Assessors using online scoring also have the option of printing E-Paper forms that can be scored online by entering the responses.
