The Developmental Assessment of Young Children - Second Edition (DAYC-2) is an assessment used to identify children birth through 5 years 11 months with possible delays in the 5 domains (Cognition, Communication, Social-emotional development, Physical development and Adaptive behaviour).

The domains can be assessed independently, so examiners may test the domains that interest them or test all five domains when a measure of general development is desired.

The DAYC-2 format allows examiners to obtain information about a child's abilities through observation, interview of caregivers, and direct assessment.

The DAYC-2 can now be scored online, via the DAYC-2 Online Scoring and Reporting System.

The Online System provides fields for storing detailed examiner and testing information, and on-screen domain, subdomain, and GDI comparisons. Examiners can save or print text or PDF file for two reporting options - Summary and Clinical Reports.

The PC, Mac, and iPad compatible System reduces scoring and reporting time and errors by:

• Calculating basals and ceilings on item-level data
• Entering domain or subdomain score totals if desired
• Converting DAYC-2 item scores or domain and subdomain raw scores into standard scores, percentile ranks, and age equivalents;
• Generating General Developmental Index (GDI)
• Comparing DAYC-2 domain and composite performance to identify significant intra-individual differences; and
• Providing a printed report of the student's identifying information and DAYC-2 performance.

The DAYC-2 Online Scoring & Reporting System: 1 year Subscription provides unlimited scoring and reporting for up to 5 users, for 12 months. Subsequent renewals are available at a discounted rate.

Extra users may be added to the account for an extra fee.
