Time: FAM-III - 20 minutes for each form; Brief FAM – 5-10 minutes
The Family Assessment Measure –III (FAM-III) is an assessment of family functioning consisting of three forms:
It is unique in its ability to provide a multi-rater and multigenerational (within the family) assessment of functioning across six universal clinical parameters and two validity scales. By comparing the three scales to each other, you obtain a rich picture of how family members view levels of family interaction.
Also available is the Brief FAM, which consists of shorter versions of the three scales. It provides an overview of family functioning, making it ideal for screening or for preliminary evaluations. It is also useful for monitoring family functioning during the course of treatment.

Online Assessment and Reporting (MHS Assessment Center+)
Online administration via MAC+ allows the assessor the flexibility to send a link to each respondent to complete the assessment at a location (e.g., child care center, school). Assessors using online scoring also have the option of printing E-Paper forms that can be scored online by entering the responses.
