The Inventory of Altered Self-Capacities (IASC) assesses difficulties in relatedness, identity, and affect control in ages 18 years and older.
It is a 63-item self-report measure of an individual's psychological functioning capacity in the areas of forming and maintaining meaningful relationships, creating a stable sense of personal identity and self-awareness, and the ability to modulate and tolerate negative affect. The IASC is helpful for clinicians who provide cognitive-behavioural, dialectical behaviour, and interpersonal therapy to individuals who have problems with self-regulation.
