Learn how to use the descriptive language of the MIGDAS-2 system to write individualised narrative reports when you evaluate children, adolescents and adults.
Participants will receive excerpted sample report templates across age and ability levels. Workshop enrolment is limited to provide each participant with an interactive experience.
Learner objectives:
This session will teach participants to:
- Integrate the MIGDAS-2 interview process and system into a comprehensive autism evaluation across age and ability levels
- Use the MIGDAS-2 visual framework and descriptive language to construct an individualised narrative report highlighting areas of strengths and differences
- Develop Individualised MIGDAS-2 Brain Style Profiles across age and ability levels
- Practice building individualised Brain Style Profiles when provided with video samples of behaviour
- Organise individualised suggested supports and recommendations using three Distinctive categories
Dr. Monteiro, a licensed psychologist and licensed specialist in school psychology, is an expert in the area of autism spectrum brain style differences. She is the author of two books and a test protocol and is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences. She maintains a practice in Dallas, Texas that specialises in supporting individuals with autism spectrum differences and their families. Dr. Monteiro consults in area school districts and provides national training for clinicians in the areas of autism evaluations, linking interventions to the individualise evaluation process, and family therapy techniques to support individuals with autism spectrum brain style differences.
