Purpose: Provides an observer perspective for a broad range of clinical problems
Age: 18-89 years
Time: 5 minutes to administer
Introducing the newest member of the Personality Assessment Inventory (PAI) family, the Personality Assessment Screener - Observer (PAS-O), the only measure of psychopathology normed on informant and self-report discrepancies.
The PAS-O is a 22-item informant report designed to obtain information from an observer (such as a spouse, relative, or close friend) about a client. It screens for a broad range of clinical issues and was developed to complement the self-report PAS.
Features and benefits
The PAS-O can be completed in about 5 minutes, and contains just two components - a carbonless Response Form and a Score Summary and Profile Form, on which clinicians can plot element raw scores, raw difference T scores, global dissimiliarity scores, and configural similiarity T scores.
The PAS-O features 10 elements representing 10 distinct domains of clinical problems, and is written at a fourth-grade level.
PAS-O & PAS
When used with the PAS, the PAS-O allows you to gain valuable insight from someone close to the client to help screen for clinical issues and determine the need for follow-up testing.
PAS-O & PAI
If PAS or PAS-O results indicate the need for in-depth testing, the PAI provides information relevant for clinical diagnosis and treatment planning.
