The Scales of Independent Behavior-Revised (SIB-R) provides a comprehensive assessment of 14 areas of adaptive behaviour and 8 areas of problem behaviour, from 3 months to 80 years and above.
It may be administered in a structured interview or by a checklist procedure (all items appear in each response booklet to facilitate either administration procedure).
Three administration options are available: the Full Scale (283 items), Short Form (brief, screening version) and the Early Development Form (brief version for young children or individuals with developmental functioning levels below eight years of age).
The SIB-R Early Development Form Response Booklet is used to record the responses, calculate the scores, summarise the results and interpret the results for the Early Development Form. It can be used alone for the checklist procedure (if an interview is not necessary or possible), or in conjunction with the Interview Book (for a structured interview).
