The Scales of Independent Behavior-Revised (SIB-R) provides a comprehensive assessment of 14 areas of adaptive behaviour and 8 areas of problem behaviour, from 3 months to 80 years and above.
It may be administered in a structured interview or by a checklist procedure (all items appear in each response booklet to facilitate either administration procedure).
Three administration options are available: the Full Scale (283 items), Short Form (brief, screening version) and the Early Development Form (brief version for young children or individuals with developmental functioning levels below eight years of age).
The SIB-R Full Scale Response Booklet is used to record the responses, calculate the scores, summarise the results and interpret the results for the Full Scale. It can be used alone for the checklist procedure, if an interview is not necessary or possible, or in conjunction with the Interview Book (for a structured interview).
Included in the Full Scale Response Booklet is the Individual Plan Recommendation, that is used to record information to plan and monitor intervention.
