Special People, Special Ways

Special People, Special Ways presents positive images of children with various disabilities.

It shares the message that even though each of us may have something different about us, we share many commonalities, and that beyond our physical limitations is a world of unique gifts for each of us to share.

Coupled with the colourful illustrations, the book conveys the message that although painful at times, being different doesn't mean 'worse'.

Teachers and parents can use this title (usually read aloud) to promote understanding and tolerance at school and at home.
