Corrective Reading Comprehension (Level B1) – Teacher Resource Book

The Corrective Reading Series provides intensive direct instruction-based reading intervention for students in Grades 3–Adult who are reading below grade level. This Direct Instruction (DI) reading intervention program delivers tightly sequenced, carefully planned lessons that give struggling students the structure and practice necessary to become skilled, fluent readers and better learners.

The Corrective Reading Comprehension (Level B1) – Teacher Resource Book provides resources and materials for extra support for the students in the Corrective Reading program.

Materials in this book are divided into four sections:

• Ideas for providing Access Points for Students with Significant Cognitive Disabilities, to allow all students a chance to achieve success with the program materials.
• Tips and suggestions for differentiated instruction to help you enhance learning for all students. Instructional tips provide important suggestions to enhance academic success.
• Levelled passages for comprehension and vocabulary practice designed to assist students with improving their overall skills.
• A scope and sequence chart provides an overview of the skills taught in each major component of the program level. With a quick glance, you can see what skills are taugh in each section of the program.
