The International Benchmark Test (IBT) is an internationally administered program of assessments with tests appropriate for grades 3 to 10. The IBT allows schools to compare student performance internationally, between grades and overtime. The IBT is a high quality skill-based assessment not linked to any national curriculum. This allows students from all countries to be compared fairly.  

The IBT Student Resource Pack: Mathematics provides an indication of the type of test questions included in the IBT tests at each level.  It also gives candidates an opportunity to reflect on the types of skills required but it is not designed to teach candidates these skills. To familiarise yourself with the IBT, work through the questions as if you were sitting a timed test.
