The importance of “formative assessment” has been a hot topic for a long time, but there is still debate about what it is, how it should be done and how teachers can do it efficiently and usefully. In this initial workshop, we will open the can of worms to look at what it means to assess formatively. We will explore barriers and enablers to assessing formatively in schools. We will also explore processes and practices that may help to harness formative use of assessment more effectively.
Join us for an engaging, interactive and thought-provoking workshop, where you can learn from others and take away ideas to embed in practice.
