The Developmental Behavior Checklist 2 (DBC2) can be used to describe emotional and behavioral problems, and is designed specifically for children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disability.
It can be completed by a parent, teacher, or other adult. Unlike other rating scales of emotional and behavioral problems, the DBC2 is focused on difficulties most likely to be a problem in the intellectually and developmentally disabled population. Scores are based on this population, allowing for a more accurate depiction of behavior.
The DBC2 yields a Total Score and five subscale scores which can be used for clinical, educational, or research purposes. T‐scores can be interpreted based on the range of concern in which they fall. Additionally, the Total T‐score can be compared with a clinical cutoff.
Norms are provided by degree of intellectual/developmental disability (i.e., mild, moderate, severe, profound). There is also the option of using scores based on Australian or U.S. reference samples.
The Online DBC2 Parent Form (pkg 10) is accessed via the WPS Online Evaluation System (platform.wpspublish.com). Upon purchase, an online activation code including instructions will be emailed to you. A use is consumed when an Online Form is scored.
This form is completed by the parent of children aged 4-18 years.
