Terms & Conditions

1. Competition opens 07.08.2022, 9am and ends 31.08.2022, 5pm

2. Entry is:

a. gained via spending $1000 in one transaction at ACER’s online shop located at - https://shop.acer.org

b. limited to one entry per person;

c. only for correctly completed entries, incorrectly completed entries will not be considered; and

d. not open to employees of ACER or members of their immediate families;

ACER may, in its sole discretion, disqualify all entries from, and prohibit further participation in this competition by, any person who acts in violation of these terms and conditions or in any way in connection with this competition engages in misconduct. What constitutes misconduct being in the sole discretion of ACER.

If for any reason this competition or any part thereof is not able to be conducted ACER may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the relevant gaming authorities, if required.

3. Prizes:

a. each entry goes into the draw for a prize consisting of a $1000 voucher which is only redeemable until and including 31 January 2023, to be used at the ACER online shop.

b. the prize is not:

i. exchangeable for cash; or

ii. transferable by the entrant to another person;

c. any freight cost related to anything purchased with the $1000 voucher will be deducted from the $1000.

4. Lottery:

a. The winner will be drawn by lottery from email addresses of entrants who successfully complete a transaction of $1000 via the ACER Shop.

b. The lottery will be conducted online at 11am on 06.09.2022. The lottery will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into;

c. The Winner will be advised personally via email on 06.09.2022;

d. The winner must claim and use the prize by the end of January 2021. The prize can be claimed by emailing <kelly.vanos@acer.org > or phoning ACER 03 9277 5225; and

e. Should the winner not claim the prize in accordance with item d above both prizes shall be deemed unclaimed and forfeit. A new winner will be redrawn.

5. PRIVACY and CONSENT to use of your personal information:

a. By entering the competition the entrants and winner CONSENT to:

i. having the winner’s name and state/territory of residence published in such promotional activity and materials as ACER may require;

ii. ACER using supplied email addresses and other personal information provided for promotional purposes. When entrants supply ACER with personal information such as names and addresses, ACER records it on an ACER database and may use it to contact you in the future

b. Email addresses of entrants will not be provided to any person or organisation outside ACER;

c. Each time ACER sends entrants direct marketing communication ACER will provide the entrant with a simple way to ‘opt out’ of receiving similar communications in the future. Entrants may also inform ACER that they do not wish to receive any further communications or change any personal information ACER may have on record by contacting the <kelly.vanos@acer.org>; and

d. Privacy Statement – Any Personal Information you provide will be treated according to any applicable law. Such Personal Information will only be used for the purposes specified in these terms and conditions. Unless you provide such Personal Information you may not be able to enter the lottery. ACER will not transfer your Personal Information outside of Australia and is bound to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and its ACER Privacy Policy locatable at https://www.acer.org/privacy. This policy details how you may exercise your right to access your personal information held by ACER, request amendment to that information if you believe that it is incorrect or complain about a breach of your privacy. Your involvement is voluntary and you are free to withdraw consent at any time. Should you have any queries please contact kelly.vanos@acer.org.
