The Multidimensional Anxiety Scale for Children 2nd Edition (MASC-2) assesses the presence of symptoms related to anxiety disorders in youth aged 8 to 19 years, aiding the early identification, diagnosis, treatment planning and monitoring of anxiety-prone youth.
The measure distinguishes between important anxiety symptoms and dimensions that broadband measures do not capture.
The MASC 2 is a multi-rater assessment with 50-item self (MASC 2-SR) and parent (MASC 2-P) rating forms. Both rating forms can be administered using paper-and-pencil or online or paper-and-pencil. All formats can be scored online using the MHS Online Assessment Center, or scoring software.
The MASC-2 Parent Quickscore Form is completed by a parent rater. The parent writes on the external layers of the form, and the results then transfer through to the hidden scoring grid within. The examiner uses these internal layers to calculate the results. All QuickScore Forms include norms conversion tables (to convert the raw scores).
