Purpose: Screens for acute and chronic posttraumatic symptomatology in children
Age: 8-17 years
Time: 5 minutes to administer and score
The Trauma Symptom Checklist for Children - Screening Form (TSCC-SF) allows you to quickly screen for posttraumatic stress and related psychological symptomatology in children ages 8-17 years who have experienced traumatic events, such as physical or sexual abuse, major loss, or natural disasters, or who have been a witness to violence.
Key Features
The TSCC-SF was derived from the Trauma Symptom Checklist for Children (TSCC). Selected items were best at predicting overall trauma and sexual-related symptomology. It includes 12 items and two subscales—General Trauma and Sexual Concerns—that are scored separately. The TSCC-SF features separate cutoff scores (derived from TSCC normative data) for boys and girls ages 8-12 years and ages 13-17 years.
The TSCC-SF can now be administered and scored online via PARiConnect. TSCC-SF/TSCC-SF:A i-Admins provide on-screen test administration, either in your office or remotely. Score reports provide scores and profiles based on response data from an i-Admin or a paper-and-pencil assessment (i-Admins and Score Reports are sold separately).
