Purpose: Provide a standardised clinical evaluation of symptomatology associated with eating disorders
Age: 13-53 years
Time: 20 minutes
Administration: Individual and group
The Eating Disorder Inventory–3 (EDI-3) is a 91-item self-report measure of psychological traits or constructs shown to be clinically relevant in individuals with eating disorders. The EDI-3 has been significantly enhanced to provide scales and composites for measuring constructs that are more consistent with the psychological domains identified as relevant to eating disorders by modern theories.
It can assist in developing treatment plans, create specific interventions, and monitor progress in individuals with eating disorders.
The 91 items are organised into 12 primary scales:
An abbreviated form of the EDI-3, the EDI-3 Referral From (EDI-3 RF) can be administered in 5-10 minutes (and scored in 15 minutes) and includes behavioural symptom questions to help identify individuals with potential eating disorders or pathology, including the three scales that compose the Eating Disorder Risk Composite (i.e., Drive for Thinness, Bulimia, Body Dissatisfaction).
The EDI-3 and EDI-3 RF can be administered and scored online via PARiConnect. All PARiConnect purchases made directly through ACER include dedicated local support. Contact our Customer Service Team to set up your account today.
