PROBE BLUE Supplementary Kit

Range: 8-15 years

Purpose: To assess reading accuracy, reading behaviour and in-depth reading comprehension.

Administration: Individual only

The PROBE BLUE Supplementary Kit includes:

• Guide & Answers: Outlines the purpose and procedure of the assessment and includes notes and the Keywords
• Determiner: Outlines the pre-test (purpose and procedure)
• Student Text, which is divided into two parts
• PROBE 2 Determiner Word Lists
• 40 stories and questions (fiction and non-fiction

PROBE2 becomes PROBE BLUE

A companion/parallel resource to the PROBE BLUE, PROBE GREY is due for release in 2021. PROBE2 has thus been revised, upgraded and rebranded as PROBE BLUE to seamlessly match this parallel resource.

The PROBE BLUE contains the same forty fiction and non-fiction stories as the PROBE2.

The PROBE BLUE Supplementary Kit includes Determiner, Guide & Answers and 1 Student Text. The PROBE BLUE copymasters are not contained in the Supplementary Kit. All schools are required to purchase a full PROBE BLUE Kit prior to purchasing a Supplementary Kit.

If more than one teacher is to be working with the resource, or if budgets are limited, then each teacher can have their own Determiner, Guide/Answers and Student Text, and share the Copymaster book when using a PROBE 2 Kit in conjunction with the Supplementary Kit(s).

Supplementary Kits are not available outside of school use.
